Day by day

Day 1

Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

After breakfast in Moshi, drive to Londorossi Gate for registration before continuing to the Lemosho trailhead. Begin trekking through dense rainforest with beautiful scenery and wildlife to Mti Mkubwa Camp.

Day 2

Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp

Leave the rainforest behind and enter the heath and moorland zone while enjoying incredible views of Kibo Peak and surrounding landscapes.

Day 3

Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

Trek across the vast Shira Plateau with breathtaking mountain scenery and time for acclimatization while enjoying one of Kilimanjaro’s most scenic regions.

Day 4

Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower

Ascend gradually toward Lava Tower for acclimatization before descending into the beautiful Barranco Valley beneath the giant Barranco Wall.

Day 5

Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Climb the famous Barranco Wall and continue through ridges and valleys toward Karanga Camp. This shorter day helps improve acclimatization before summit night.

Day 6

Karanga Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp

Continue to Barafu Camp for a short rest before beginning the midnight summit attempt. Reach Stella Point and finally Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Descend afterward to Mweka Camp for overnight rest.

Day 7

Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

Descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate where climbers receive their summit certificates before transfer back to Moshi for celebration and relaxation.
