Day 1

Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

Complete park registration before driving to the trailhead. Trek through lush rainforest rich with birds, monkeys, and towering trees before arriving at Mti Mkubwa Camp.

Day 2

Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp

Leave the rainforest behind and enter the heath and moorland zone while enjoying spectacular views across the Shira Plateau.

Day 3

Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

Cross the expansive Shira Plateau with magnificent views of Kibo Peak while continuing gradual acclimatization.

Day 4

Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp

Climb toward Lava Tower for acclimatization before descending to scenic Barranco Camp beneath the impressive Barranco Wall.

Day 5

Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Climb the famous Barranco Wall before trekking across beautiful valleys toward Karanga Camp.

Day 6

Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
