Day by day

Day 1

Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

Drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate for registration before continuing to the Lemosho trailhead. Begin trekking through lush rainforest rich with wildlife and giant trees to Mti Mkubwa Camp.

Day 2

Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp

Leave the rainforest behind and enter the heath and moorland zone while trekking toward the beautiful Shira Plateau with panoramic mountain views.

Day 3

Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

Enjoy a gradual trek across the stunning Shira Plateau with spectacular scenery and excellent acclimatization opportunities.

Day 4

Shira 2 Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

Ascend to Lava Tower for acclimatization before descending to the scenic Barranco Camp beneath the towering Barranco Wall.

Day 5

Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
